Homosexuality Is Inherited
Many mothers who are much distressed because, one of their children is homosexual now want to know if another child, and later, one or two grandchildren, might have to suffer from some sexual mix-up.
I am sure the risk of this is considerable because in a series of cases I studied for 10 years practically all of the persons had psychotic, alcoholic or odd relatives. This, is not theory it is actual experience. To illustrate: a homosexual man told me that his father's brother was homosexual. The father's father was mentally unstable. My patient's mother was withdrawn, unaffectionate, suspicious and domineering, and her brother had a severe schizophrenia.
Much in favor of the hereditary nature of homosexuality is the fact that studies have shown that if one alike-twin is homosexual, the other twin almost always will be homosexual. In Dr, George W. Henry's big study of homosexuals he found as I did, that in most of the families there were some odd or eccentric members, not necessarily homosexual.
The great mistake still being made by many men studying heredity is to look in a family for only what they want to find, such as more homosexuality. In doing this, they fail to make not of such
